Let's Catch Up! My Sisters Birthday!

Hola My Amigos! It has been a while, again. Between, my online classes, papers, finals, and projects, I've been a bit overwhelmed. But that is over now and I have 2 awesome weeks before I head back to college. So I figured before I have to face my horrible lack of time management skills, I would just give you guys a small update on my life. I'll break it up into parts, because if I don't...this will be one long ass post.

My sister turned 32 this week. But if she knew that I said that she would kill me dead. I'm suppose to say she turns 21 every year, but it will be a bit awkward once I turn 21.

As a result of my parents beliefs, my sister and I never really had the opportunity to get close to my other family members. Since my dad realized how weird that was for us, he made a little surprise party for my sister and invited some of our cousins and aunts.

It was a bit weird at first, but once I got over my eternal awkwardness I connected with my older family members. They each gave me extremely different, but also helpful tip for college. I have so much to think about. Part of me really wants to just wants to be lazy and get paid for sleeping. That would be the dream right?

For Sabrina's birthday I baked her a 2 layered marbled/rainbow vanilla cake, and devil foods cake pops covered in white chocolate and sprinkles. I didn't have a stand to stuff the stick of the pops so I ended up putting them face down on a plate. They took a while to make but they were totally worth it and was a hit. My mom also bought an ice cream cake because she didn't think there would be enough cake to get around. Then my aunt bought a fruit tart and a fruit cheese cake. In the end, everyone got 4 different pieces of cake for themselves. Everyone was on the biggest sugar rush known to man.

Everyone is always super excited about cake. Afterwards, we went to the movies and saw Lucy and Hercules, reviews are coming soon! We also ate at Carmines, and while the food was good, it was a tad bit expensive for me. However, the service was great!

All in all I think my sister had an awesome birthday! Let me know your favorite birthday memories :)
